It's so fun to breed vampire crabs! I have G. bogorensis (which really just be a variation of G. dennerle?), and I wish I had space for more of the species. They are so beautiful, and I'm glad you're having such success with them.

I agree Dave, too many animals are just surviving and not thriving and it’s no way to live. The tortoise thing in particular, too many people say ‘well my grandad tortoise is fine and he eats dog food and lives outside’ makes me so mad :( The only reason he’s still alive is because he was wild caught and already established but he is NOT ok in any way. :( do constant research people! Not just when you get your pets, but continually 😁

Another great video, going off topic a bit have you ever considered doing a reef tank ? After keeping reptiles for many years myself I recently had a reef tank come into my possession and as someone who enjoys trying to naturally replicate environments for reptiles trying to replicate a coral reef has been the most interesting and rewarding experience I’ve had in animal husbandry plus nothing can beat the beauty of a coral reef. You’re very talented at terrarium design and I wondered if you’ve ever thought about being a reefer

I’ve been having an issue with my stenos like at the start of this video since February. No worries about the babies being eaten there but I sold off a bunch and may have more babies now than I have sold 😂😂😂

Dang! She's tiny! Our MBK was about that size when we got him. A year later.....he's huge! When Snek (at first we named him Armando, but we kept calking him Snek, so......) was little we fed him once every 5 days. He was born April 2023, we got him in July. Now, it varies, as does the quantity. Part of it depends on when he's in shed. We feed roughly every 10 - 12 days, but we have done a back-to-back at 5 days if he's aggressively hunting and also waited as long as 16 days. Occasionally we also do a doyble meal .... 2 mice! Usually either after a longer wait, or if he's being super hungry, or if we know blue is approaching and we plan to not feed for almost 2 weeks

well I have to say that of the two i prefer the hagens, as I actually keep those, they are really cool crabs, and I've seen that they are great climbers, one of them has been living un top of the leaves of a chamadorea palm for a few days. I recommend a more tall enclosure if you can find it. Of the vampire crabs in general my favourite is the rouxi, they are more territorial and a bit fossorial, but the colors alone make up for it. Highly recommend them

I like the red devil vampire crabs the most. Red is my favorite color, you see. It stands to reason I would like the red ones more.

They are both so cute...but my favorite color is purple and the color contrast of the purple and yellow is amazing so I would probably pick those
